October 2026 Horrors!!

André Øvredal can shoot a movie, like, he knows how. He even has some pretty outstanding ideas in this one (the Roman Holiday scene in this film is fantastic). The trouble has something to do with either consistency or maybe a taste that simply doesn't translate - I honesty don't know which. Sadly, the issue does prevent movies like this one from breaking out of its place in the lost array of the mid, destined to be Netflix fodder, or worse, one of the many useless entries in Amazon's back catalogue.
